Paula Auld was born in Massachusetts and grew up all over the New England area. She was interested in art from an early age, taking drawing lessons at age nine and continuing on her own. Paula has also been riding horses since age six and has competed in several sports, including Tae Kwon Do.
Paula participated in the Outdoor Leadership Program in Greenfield, MA and attended Landmark College in Putney, VT. She started taking photography classes and was hooked form the start, making the national Deans List and Phi Theta Kappa. She graduated from Landmark College in May 2006 with an Associates Degree as well as the yearly art award for the best art in any category. Paula also participated in several shows at Landmark College.
In 2006, Paula was accepted to Montserrat College of Art (Beverly, MA), where she worked as head photo lab monitor for the photo department. For three years she helped to hang the photo section of the yearly art show. Paula interned for Jeff Ellis, a Beverly, MA artist, who works with photo emulsion on glass, wood, canvas, and metal. Paula also worked for Julianna Rae, a lingerie company in Burlington, MA, shooting and editing product images.
Paula will be graduating from Montserrat College in May 2009 with a BFA in photography and a minor in Art History.
